Stephen is a private investor and a philanthropist. Between 1999 and 2010 he led the global media team and the London practice of Apax Partners. Prior to Apax, Stephen was chief executive of ONDigital Plc, a pay TV start-up, executive director of United Business Media Plc and managing director of the Telegraph Plc. Stephen is a National Independent Director of Times Newspapers Ltd.
