During his PhD degree, Claudio has focused on understanding the strengths and weaknesses of Large Language & Vision models, spanning tasks such as Visual Dialogue and Visual Question Answering. His latest research has also focused on developing visually-grounded conversational models which can continuously adapt to the user during the conversation. With his help, Alana is developing models able to talk about what they see which can assist blind and visually-impaired people.
He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science from the University of Bari and a PhD degree in Cognitive and Brain Sciences from the Center of Mind/Brain Sciences of the University of Trento.
